Active Hemp compounds are found in hemp
Hemp contains at least 85 chemicals called Hemp compounds. Hemp compounds are a class of diverse chemical compounds that act on compound receptors in cells that repress neurotransmitter release in the brain. Active Hemp Extract are an active ingredient in our hemp extract and many other hemp health products.
Hemp can be used to make more than 25,000 different kinds of environmentally friendly products from health foods and beauty products to paper supplies and even building materials.
In 1938, the magazine Popular Mechanics called hemp the “New Billion Dollar Crop” because researchers had discovered that hemp could be used to manufacture over 25,000 different kinds of products “from cellophane to dynamite.” With our technological advances today we are constantly discovering even more ways to use this incredibly versatile plant.
Consuming hemp can be great for your health.
Hemp seeds and hemp oil contain magnesium, iron, and vitamin E along with the healthy fats omega-3 and omega-6. (If you want the full skinny on hemp nutritional value, check it out on Self Nutrition Data). Hemp is also a complete protein which makes it a great plant-based protein source for vegans and vegetarians. Many people enjoy eating hemp seeds in salads, yogurt, cereals, granola and smoothies. Though hemp oil should not be used for high-heat cooking, it can be used in the kitchen too. (It makes a great salad dressing!) You can also find delicious substitute dairy products made from hemp and hemp protein powders.
Clinical and scientific researchers have discovered that the herbal extract of Hemp is useful for a healthful body and sense of well-being.
Hemp has been used therapeutically for thousands of years, but the scientific community has only begun to extensively research it over the last few decades. Through their research, they have learned that Active Hemp Extracts are the compounds in hemp responsible for its optimal whole-body benefits. Active Hemp Extracts are thought to have noticeable balanced mood and occasional soreness support without the psychoactive effect of psychoactive compounds.
Hemp farming and production are great for the environment.
There are few crops that are as environmentally friendly as hemp. According to Canada’s Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food, hemp matures in just 3 to 4 months and absorbs carbon dioxide 5 times more efficiently than trees. Unlike cotton which requires lots of water and heavy use of chemical fertilizers and toxic pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides; hemp can be grown organically without the use of chemicals or toxins and without the need for excessive water. It is also great for the environment because it returns nitrogen and nutrients to soil. Hemp’s long roots actually aerate soil and can help to prevent both soil erosion and mudslides. Another benefit for farmers is that it can thrive in almost any climate and any type of soil. It is no wonder that the L.A. Times’ tip to American farmers is to grow hemp. Pure Hemp Botanicals cares about our environment. We support regenerative farming practices through safe agricultural practices and never use harmful pesticides or herbicides.
How do I know how much to take or which strength to buy?
There is not a standard dosage amount for hemp extract products. Everyone metabolizes Active Hemp Extracts differently, so we recommend that you start out low and adjust accordingly.
Please refer to this chart to help give you an idea of what concentration you may need. If you’d like to speak with us regarding your unique situation, please contact our Customer Service Team at [email protected] / 1-844-443-6764. Are your products non-psychoactive?
PHB products are manufactured with industrial hemp. All PHB products contain less than 0.3% psychoactive compounds on a dry weight basis, consistent with the definition of industrial hemp under section 7606 of the Farm Bill Act of 2014 and 2018 Farm Bill Act.
Our products are manufactured using hemp extract. All our products may contain up to 0.3% psychoactive compounds. The psychoactive compound amount in milligrams will vary depending on product suggested dosage.
How can I see the Lab Results for the product that I own?
We provide a Certificates of Analysis (CoA), the lab results, for all our products and upload them for everyone to see.
Each product will have its own identifying batch number which is used to pull up the lab results for the specified item. You can also view lab results by typing in keywords such as “tincture”.
If you can’t locate a specific CoA, please reach out to our Customer Service team at [email protected] or 1-844-443-6764.
You can view them here: https://phblife.com/lab-results/
What is different about this new CoA format?
It is important to have a comprehensive CoA that includes all the analyses which may be performed on any of our products. The previous CoA format only showed compound content. The new and improved CoA format shows not only potency, but many other testing results which are indicative of product quality. We have one of the most comprehensive CoA’s in the hemp market and are happy to share all testing results for EVERY batch with our consumers.
Why do some of the analyses say “S.L.” on my CoA?
S.L. means “Skip Lot” and is defined as a lab analysis was not scheduled for qualification testing or identified by our protocol for testing. You will ALWAYS see Active Hemp Extracts potency and psychoactive compound potency on the CoA, along with all physical characteristics. If you would like to see the breakdown of other compounds present and psychoactive compounds, please see page 2 of the CoA, which is the previous CoA format.
What does “third party tested” really mean?
Third party testing is a common term used to communicate that external laboratories are utilized to provide independent test results. This offers a level of assurance that testing results are not biased. Additionally, when third party laboratories are used, many companies can compare testing results to further develop testing methods for their products. For industries which are in their infancy, like the hemp and compound industry, this is important to establish reliable testing methods, and also to verify product quality. PHB uses ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratories to report results on every CoA.
How can I see what ingredients are used in the products?
To view the ingredients used in our products, please click on the desired product’s detail page and view the “Product Description” and “Additional Information” section. They are also directly displayed on the product label.
What is in a softgel?
Softgels are fully enclosed vegan gel caps that are smoothly contoured and easy to swallow. Our softgels are made from a carrageenan-based gel derived from red seaweed, and are filled with pure hemp extract and coconut oil as the extract carrier.
How should I store my products?
To maximize the shelf life of your product please store in a cool, dry place. You can also store our products at room temperature or chilled in the refrigerator.
About our softgels.
The softgels are fully enclosed gel caps that contain our Active Hemp Extract formula and are smoothly contoured and easy to swallow. The softgels cannot leak. The softgels are 100% vegan, from the casing to the fill.
How long does it take for the softgels to take effect?
The softgels and capsules are taken orally, and as such it may take longer to feel the desired effects since the Active Hemp Extracts must travel through the digestive tract before being absorbed in the small intestine. The body has to break down the shell and then absorb the oil which usually takes 30-45 min to take effect.
What is a carrier fluid?
Pure Hemp Botanicals uses only Non-GMO carrier fluids in our tincture and softgel products. Active Hemp Extracts are fat soluble, meaning, the compound breaks down and stores in body fat. Because of this trait, hemp compounds are most effective when infused with an oil so the human body can absorb and metabolize it efficiently. The Active Hemp Extracts will attach itself to the molecular compounds in the oil, at which point they can be absorbed into the body to maximize Active Hemp Extract content.
How do you use Hemp Extract Tincture?
The most common way to consume the tincture is under the tongue. This is when oil is situated or applied under the tongue to provide a direct absorption method to the bloodstream through the mucous membranes under the tongue. This often results in quicker effects, and is also believed to have a minimal loss of Active Hemp Extracts since it eliminates the digestive tract. You can also consume the oil orally, apply it topically, or mix it with food and beverages.
What is the difference between Isolate Tincture & Full Spectrum Tincture?
Our Isolated Active Hemp Extract Tincture products are manufactured with purified isolated Active Hemp Extracts. The isolate tincture features non-detectable levels of psychoactive compounds, meaning that psychoactive compounds are not found with our instrumentation during our testing process. Our Full Spectrum tinctures contain Active Hemp Extracts along with the permitted amount of other trace psychoactive compounds, balanced with the “entourage effect” for optimal efficiency. All of our full spectrum tinctures contain less than 0.3% psychoactive compounds.
Is there a difference between formulas for human tinctures and pet tinctures?
There is no difference in formulation for our human tinctures & our pet tinctures. The only difference between the animal and human tinctures are the labels. We use the same ingredients in both types of products. “Pet Tincture” is mostly used to inform our customers that the tincture can indeed be safely used for their pets.

Why are your tinctures nearly flavorless & colorless?
Our company is vegan, so anything we use, from growing the plants, to extracting the oil, to manufacturing, must fall along those guidelines. Our Active Hemp Extract hemp oil is richly refined to avoid leaving a bad aftertaste. Our tinctures are formulated with organic and refined hemp seed oil, so any taste will come from these ingredients. The end product is a nearly flavorless, colorless oil for light and easy consumption.
Why is there Hemp Seed Oil in the tincture formula?
Organic hemp seed oil acts as a carrier fluid. Active Hemp Extracts are fat soluble and needs a fat source to extract and maximize the hemp compound content.
What is “GMP”?
GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices, and is the gold standard for food, supplement, and drug manufacturing. The FDA regulates the manufacture of consumable products and requires that manufacturers follow GMP regulations. All PHB products are manufactured in an FDA registered facility. Even though hemp and hemp products have not been classified as a food or supplement by the FDA, Pure Hemp Botanicals always follows GMP regulations in the manufacturing process of all of our products.
